Eddyline Kayaks Relocates Headquarters to Siloam Springs, Ark.

Move Strengthens Eddyline’s Presence in the Paddlesports Hub

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (Oct. 6, 2023) – Eddyline Kayaks, an innovative paddlesports brand founded in 1971, is moving its headquarters from Washington State to Northwest Arkansas, company officials have announced. The move to Siloam Springs will be completed in December 2023.

“At Eddyline, our purpose is to build quality craft that inspire people to enjoy clean and healthy waterways,” said Eddyline President and co-owner Scott Holley. “The Natural State, Arkansas, resonates deeply with our ethos, both as a responsible business entity and as a community participant.”

Alex Stoeffl has rejoined the team to manage the Arkansas operations, which will include warehouse space on Waukesha Road near the Siloam Springs Kayak Park and office space in the historic Siloam Springs downtown.  Eddyline’s products are sold through independent retailers nationwide, including Ozark Kayak in Bentonville.

“The team has done great work navigating challenging times and growing the company,” Stoeffl said. “I look forward to working with the leadership team and leveraging my experiences from outside the industry to continue that growth and commitment to Eddyline’s legendary service and products.”

Northwest Arkansas boasts the WOKA Whitewater Park, a state-of-the-art, 30-acre, $35 million whitewater kayak haven nestled by the Illinois River. Furthermore, the formation of the Paddlesports Trade Coalition™ in Bentonville, Ark., earlier this year underscores the region’s burgeoning influence in paddlesports. This coalition synergizes manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders to amplify paddlesport growth in North America, addressing key legislative, sustainability, and water access concerns.

“Eddyline Kayaks aligns perfectly with the spirit of Northwest Arkansas and Siloam Springs,” said Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce President Arthur Hulbert. “Our strategic geographical placement will undoubtedly streamline Eddyline’s distribution efforts throughout the nation.”

“Northwest Arkansas’ business-friendly climate and concentrated focus on quality of life and outdoor activities will create the perfect environment for Eddyline to succeed,” Hulbert added.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eddyline to the Natural State,” said Katherine Andrews, director of Arkansas’ Office of Outdoor Recreation. “Eddyline’s relocation is a testament to our dedication in growing the state’s outdoor recreation economy and I look forward to working with them to bring their quality products to Arkansans.”

Eddyline was one of the first companies to pioneer the use of thermoformed ABS plastic for kayak production. This technology provides a balance between the lightweight nature of fiberglass and the durability of polyethylene, giving paddlers a kayak that is both tough and efficient on the water. This technology not only produces a durable and lightweight product but also has a smaller carbon footprint than other kayak production methods.

In 2022, Bentonville-based RZC Investments announced a minority growth equity investment in the company. As part of the investment, RZC Vice President Don Huffner joined the Eddyline board along with long-term managers Todd Keane, Janet Sutton, and Scott Holley.
