Notice of Rulemaking
Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 25-15-201 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism is proposing amendments to its rules found at 22 CAR § 50-115. Hang Gliding and paragliding. These rules need to be amended to adjust required liability insurance amounts for pilots, adds additional requirements for passengers, and clarifies the language relating to ratings requirements for pilots.
The Department is accepting public comment on these proposed rules through July 13th, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Interested persons may review these proposed rules and make comments to April Kiser, Deputy Chief of Communications, Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism at [email protected] or via mail at 1100 North Street, Little Rock, AR 72201.
Oral comments may be made in person July 13, 2026, at Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Headquarters Building, 1100 North Street, Little Rock, AR at 10:00 a.m.

Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 25-15-201 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism is proposing amendments to its rules found at 22 CAR § 50-114. Firearms, hunting, explosives, and fireworks. Updates current rule published in 2005 to be in compliance with current laws governing weapons, including possession of firearms. The revised rule maintains restrictions on discharging, shooting, or firing a weapon outside of designated areas. The revised rule expands hunting beyond Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area to include all Wildlife Management Areas co-managed by Arkansas State Parks and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
