About our Facilitator
Robert Bean has been slinging his own unique brand of visual stories on canvas and paper since the late 1990s. A graduate of the School of Visual Art at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Bean serves as the Department Chair of Painting and Drawing at the Museum School of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and is an adjunct instructor of figure drawing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Bean is a facilitator for Mid-America Arts Alliance’s Artist INC programs, which focus on professional development skills for creatives. He is also a recipient of a 2022 Individual Artist Fellowship Award for graphic novel art. For more information visit rbfineart.com.

Hike with a park interpreter along the ½-mile Dogwood Trail to put your seeking skills to the test and learn more about the tricks animals use to hide. Please wear appropriate hiking/walking footwear and bring water.

Frontier Fourth at Historic Arkansas Museum

Start your 4th of July with a fun family event on our grounds, celebrating American Independence! March in a parade, print the latest news from our nation’s capital on the printing press, compete in sack races and cool down with watermelon and ice-cold lemonade. The festivities will come to a close with a rousing reading of the Declaration of Independence and a round of triumphal toasts! Huzzah!
